I've noticed that the new vehicles do not have shotgun locks anymore. Can rifle mounts be looked into? Now that just about every patrol officer has one, it makes sense.
We have 2 of the newest cars outfitted with newly designed rifle racks. We had the upfitters pre-wire all of the new cars for these so that once production hits full swing; we will be able to add these into the cars in an efficient manner. You should see a coiled wire tied to the cage at the top on either driver or passenger side depending on who performed the build. That will provide the power to the gun lock.
Suggestion....have IS create a blog, similar to this, where question, as the above, could be answered, instead of telling the world, our rifles aren't secured. This would be an effective way to pass 39. I'm not saying not to use this forum, but information about our security doesn't need to be in the open.
