To hell with the braves and anything to do with them. Why keep subjecting yourself to that crap and all the trouble it brings with it. They claim traffic is voluntary and won't be forced. That apparently is a bold faced lie. Quit volunteering down there and see how quick they change their tune. Meanwhile the parking guys and inside guys are making $75 an hour. Shaking my head......

I'm with ya! We are out there sweating our butts off, and the higher ups are driving around in the A/C bitching about everything they can find. I'm done working my off days until the pay gets better and things change!

Ladies and gentlemen today we had a chief of police get on tv and make a statement about what happened. Wow I can't believe it. finally a true leader who doesn't hide under a desk. I'm on this guys side and I have drank the koolaid. Thank you god for a true leader among Cobb pd

Once again cobb is reaping the benefits of cobb Police Officers' standard of dedication and service. And this time it's STEP officers volunteering to work their days off and beyond their work days.
Hey command staff concerned at STP, lay off the petty BS (name a metro agency like Cobb that doesn't allow officers to wear baseball caps).
It's obvious certain lieutenants and above are clueless to today's morale level being as low as the Furlough time period and lack of raises resulting in a loss of over 200 officers in 4 years.
The "good ole days"...the old "Cobb Way" of harassing and treating officers like sh!t have consequences.
Officers would be willing to put with the BS if we were being fairly compensated. It's human nature to move on, as was seen in the Furlough time period, and it's starting again.
Look around, 2/3rd's of this department has less than 7 years of service and that should speak volumes and will eventually be very costly for Cobb.
It just blows my mind that those in cs and those at 100 cherokee st have an opportunity to leave this place better than they found it, but a Select Few's persona makes them incapable of doing so.
As are most, I am hopeful with our new Chief, County Manager, and Chairman. I just hope there's Action this time and not just Words.

The troops can't be comfortable and wear baseball caps but there is a Major riding around in his silver Taurus working STP and he doesn't even wear a bullet proof vest or traffic vest. This is the same Major that will be the first to get onto you for wearing a ball cap or for not wearing a traffic vest Guess it's do as I say and not as I do. Command Staff is so out of touch with the troops. Hope the new Chief shakes the CS up.

well it looks like NO MERIT RAISE again, but there's a rumor about a "possible" cost of living bonus. What kind of doublespeak is that,. Commissioner Weatherford burned us.

"Things are going to get tight", Again!
Except this time it's under a healthy economy.
And last time libraries were determined as "essential" over furloughing cops.
GTAC people.

Always been that way with that one, he gets away with murder and always will. The past chiefs and deputy chiefs allow it. He goes around intimidating folks and only looks out for himself and no one else. Violates policy but wouldn't hesitate to write you up or punish you if you did the same thing.

Yep, that one has always hidden behind his rank. He's nothing without it.
